U17 Soccer Rules

                   Official Rules of  U17 Soccer 

Jerseys

  • All players must be wearing a proper color jersey while in play.
  • All players will receive their team’s jersey on the first day of practice. 
  • All players are responsible for checking in at the front desk and receiving a wristband before they play. 
  • Players may not trade jerseys or teams. If a replacement jersey is needed, it may be purchased at the front desk for a fee of $10 

Teams

  • All players must play only with their assigned team. Under no circumstance will players of other teams be allowed to substitute for a team whose roster they are not on. If they attempt to play with a team they do not belong to, they will be removed from the field, and the team which allowed them to play will forfeit.

Players

  • Parents and eligible drivers are responsible for proper attendance at BOTH practices and

            games. 

  •  If a team is short players at the beginning of the game, they must play with what is 

             available, or they may borrow ONLY from the opposing team. No players from other 

             teams may act as a substitute.

 

Sportsmanship 

  • Players should be aware they are playing in a recreational league and must respect their teammates, opponents, coaches, and referees. 
  • Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. 

RULES OF THE FIELD

  • Players should be focused on the game, and ready to play when called on. To avoid distractions, all electronics should be put away during practices and games.

*NO AIR PODS, APPLE WATCHES, CELL PHONES, Ect. 

  • Negative behavior towards ANYONE on the field will not be tolerated.
  • The following examples would earn a yellow card for the first offense, and if these actions are repeated, a red card will be given, resulting in removal (asked to leave) from the facility and, depending on severity, a suspension from the league with no refund.

Examples: Foul language, bullying, talking down to others, aggressive fouls, and use of technology during the game.

Forfeit

  • If a team fails to have enough players (4), it will result in a forfeit.
  • If a player is not on the roster of either of the teams playing, the team using that player will forfeit the game.

The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with play and interpretations of the rules are final.
